2014 - New Year, New Start

Hello everyone!

To those of you that have made your way over here from my old blog, well hello hello hello! Lovely of you to pop over and see what's happening here, and thank you for the support ♥

To any new readers, you can find out more about me on the 'about me' tab up above and don't forget to connect with me via all the social medias... Info on the right! Also, don't forget to follow my blog with Bloglovin to keep updated with my posts now Google reader has left us all *sad face*.

So why the new blog? I'm sure many of my old readers noticed that my blog posts were extremely few and far between in recent months. This was due to a number of things that I won't bore you with, fresh start and all that. My old blog just wasn't doing it for me. So here we are.

I haven't really made any resolutions this year; I don't tend to stick to them. However, I have been thinking about life and have realised I want to make my life more about experiences. I want to make memories that I can look back on and think, woah, I have lived an awesome life!

I am not defined by the things I own; what makes the most difference to my happiness isn't material. Now, don't get me wrong, I still LOVE a sparkly nail polish or two, but on reflection, it's not buying or owning the polish that makes me happy - it's taking the time to sit and paint my nails and seeing them look pretty.

Things > Experiencing.

So I guess you can see where I'm going with this? This blog will focus on the things I am doing, rather than what I am buying. I have some important financial goals to work towards this year so I am going to focus on buying less and doing more.

Exception to the rule: I will be purchasing a DSLR with Christmas & birthday pounds/vouchers. So although this will be a big spend - I think it will be worth it for the rewards I will get out of it... a new hobby and documenting our days together as me and Matt have decided to go on lots of trips, days out and so on this year... Mini adventures!

So to wrap up, a little list for you all, as I do love a list... My 2014 blog hopes and dreams:
