Current Netflix favourites: October 2016

It's been a few months since I first shared what I've been watching on Netflix, so today I'm back to share some more shows I've been enjoying lately.

Gilmore GirlsThere has been quite a lot of attention surrounding Gilmore Girls recently, as it's making a comeback 9 years after i…

Wishlist: Autumn fashion 2016

Checked ShirtSo I'm pretty much jumping on the 'checked shirts for autumn' bandwagon here, but I really like how they look layered over the top of a white vest and worn with a nice pair of fitted jeans. I'm not a huge fan of the tartan trend, so I don't feel it would get much we…

The Autumn Tag

Fee posted this tag on her blog a little while back, and today I've finally got round to sharing my answers seeing as autumn is my favourite season!

Holiday Reads | 2016

I always like to take a few books with me on holiday as I find there is lots of time to sit and devour a good book or two five ;)

Here are some books will be coming along with me on our trip to Mykonos...

Current Netflix Favourites | July 2016

Current Netflix Favourites

Working full-time means I very much appreciate those few non-working hours that aren't filled with household chores. Once the chores for the day are done, I like to pop on a pair of comfy PJs, and settle in bed or on the sofa with my laptop and fire up Netflix (popcorn and candy optional!). There are a ton of movies and TV shows to choose from, and seeing as my regular shows are currently on hiatus, I thought I'd share some new favourites that I'm currently watching.

Life Update: July 2016

It's been a while since my last life update post, so here is what's been happening the last few months...

My New CarMy old car was a stinky heap that was going to cost us quite a bit to tax and get through its MOT, so we decided it was finally time to get a new (to me) car. I've always w…

Book Review: Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson

Amy Curry is having a terrible year. Her mother has decided to move all the way across the country and needs Amy to drive their car from California to the East Coast. There's just one problem: since the death of her father, Amy hasn't been able to get behind the wheel of a car. Enter Roger,…

10 things to do when it's raining

I love the rain. I love how it softens the outlines of things. The world becomes softly blurred, and I feel like I melt right into it.
Hagumi Hanamoto
We've had a lot of rain here in the UK over the past few weeks, quite heavy storms complete with thunder and lightning. Today I thought I would sh…

Wishlist: High end makeup - Summer 2016

Today I thought I would share a few high-end products that I am considering purchasing at some point. I have seriously cut down on the amount of makeup I've been purchasing recently, and rather than buying a lot of high street products on impulse, I have really thought about which high-end prod…

Review: Vdara Hotel and Spa, Las Vegas

Today is a first for me: a hotel review post.

Matt and I love to travel and have been lucky enough to be able to visit some awesome places together, so I thought I would share some of our experiences here on my blog. So expect more posts including hotel reviews, travel tips and much more.

Where I buy my stationery

Continuing with my National Stationery Week posts, today I thought I would share my favourite places for buying awesome stationery supplies, because who doesn't need more stationery in their life?

A stationery wishlist - National Stationery Week 2016

This week is National Stationery Week (25 April - 1 May 2016), which fills me with more happiness than it should. As long as I can remember I've been obsessed with all things stationery, and I really have to restrain myself when it comes to purchasing yet more notebooks and pretty pens! And don…

Nail Polishes for Spring

Spring is officially here, and I always find I start to wear lighter, brighter colours as the weather gets less grey and we (hopefully!) see a bit more sunshine. Nail polish is no exception, and I've picked out 5 shades from my collection that I think are just perfect for spring time.

Being your true self

You, the people, have the power, the power to create machines, the power to create happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure.
The Great Dictator (1940)

A few nights back now I was listening to Paolo Nutini on YouTube, and happened to be listening to his live version of Iron Sky - if you haven't heard it, please stop reading now, go listen here, then come back. You're welcome. I then ended up listening to the whole speech from The Great Dictator... again, go here to listen.

Life Lately | February 2016

Here's what's been happening in February in my world...

Hello, 2016. It's me...

I genuinely could not be happier that 2015 is over. That sounds so depressing and negative, but if I said it has been filled with fun, sparkles and amazing times, I would be lying. Buying our house has been one of the most difficult things I've done in my life: it's been expensive, stressful, time consuming and there always seems to be something else to do or buy. We keep telling ourselves that it's almost over, and in a few months we'll have a lovely little home that we can just live in and enjoy.

I'm making one resolution this year:

To enjoy 2016 and focus on the little things.
