Gifts for… Makeup Addicts

December 15, 2016 in Beauty, Gift Guides & Wishlists

My first recommendation for someone who loves makeup would always be an Urban Decay eyeshadow palette. Although more expensive than high street/drugstore eyeshadows, the quality is outstanding. My top pick would be the Naked 3 palette purely because it contains some of the most stunning and unique rose gold shades I’ve seen, plus rose gold is so ‘in’ right now! Other options include the original Naked palette, the Naked 2 palette and the Naked smoky palette, all of which contain 12 eyeshadows that are mostly shimmer finishes with one or two mattes. For those who prefer a completely matte palette, you can’t go wrong with the Naked ultimate basics palette.

Continuing with the eyes, I would absolutely recommend the Lancôme hypnôse mascara gift set. The hypnôse mascara is one of the best mascaras I’ve ever used, second only to the Hourglass film noir mascara. Plus with this gift set you also get a little eye makeup remover and eye liner.

Moving onto the face, how about a little kit that has everything included to create a flawless base? Benefit’s ‘How to look the best at everything’ complexion kit contains a primer, foundation, two concealers and a finishing powder all in miniature size to get a feel for the products before purchasing the full size. It’s available in three shades: light, medium and deep.

Another highly recommended set now – the Tarte deluxe clay blush collection and brush set. Tarte’s blushes are fantastic… great colours, super pigmentation, smooth application and long lasting. This set is great as it also comes with a brush to apply them with.

Makeup application is so much easier and tends to look better when you have a decent set of brushes Zoeva’s rose gold brush set contains seven essential brushes for face and eye makeup, all contained in a pretty rose gold pouch.

Liquid lipsticks are so huge right now, especially nude shades. Stila’s ‘naturally nude’ liquid lipstick set contains three different nude shades to finish off any look.

Winter weather can make lips become cracked and dry, especially for those ladies who favour matte lipsticks. Treat them to a Maybelline baby lips gift set to help keep their lips looking luscious!
